National Road Race Champs – Wish I was there!

Hey everyone, today is the National Road Race Championships, held at Ampleforth Abbey, Ampleforth, York. I would have like to attended this, but it wasn’t possible. For the Mens race (start at 1.15pm) there is no Wiggins (last years winner), no Cav, no Pete Kennaugh (4 time podium finisher – what a lad!) and no G (Geraint Thomas). This makes it interesting, and I’m giving my support to Endura Racing (@enduraracing) – who have done so well in the Halfords Tour Series.

For the womens race (which is already underway as i type this) I would have to go for either Lizzie Armitstead or Emma Pooley – both who deserve to win this! (Dead heat anyone :P).

As there is no live coverage – apart from the excellent people on twitter (if they have phone signal) – it might be worth watching tomorrow on ITV4 at 7pm. If not head over to twitter for updates!

Let’s hope it isn’t too windy up there!

Have fun!
